About the image
James Dean's status as a cultural icon is best embodied in the title of his most celebrated film, Rebel Without a Cause. This wonderful mixed media portrait from another iconic film Giant, captures Dean from a scene at the end of the film where he plays the main character as an old man.

This portrait was used in the production of one of Ronnie's earliest limited edition serigraph releases titled Decades 50s in 1987.

This original illustration was featured in SFAE's Ronnie Wood Original Paintings and Drawings gallery exhibition in 2008.
