The Beatles Arriving at Salzburg Airport, 1965 (Ref.#B71)

Roger Fritz

According to noted Beatles biographer Mark Lewisohn, The Beatles arrived at the Salzburg Airport to shoot scenes for Help!, on March 13, 1965 to four thousand eager fans and reporters. After a press-conference at a nearby hotel, they headed for the Hotel Eidelwiess in Obertauern where they were based until the 22nd, when they returned to London to continue shooting in studio. The film was completed in 11 weeks, 3 more than it took for A Hard Day's Night.
