Pink Floyd, Animals Cover Shoot (1A)

Carinthia West

This was taken in December 1976 during the Pink Floyd Animals photo shoot that was put together by design group Hipgnosis for the launch of their new album.

The image features the inflatable pig still tethered between the chimneys of Battersea Power Station in London. Even Hipgnosis did not manage to get a shot of the pig before it broke its lines and floated away. On the cover, the pig featured was added in post-production.

This is photograph 10275 of the series.
