Keith Richards and Mick Jagger

Robert Altman

Keith Richards and Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones record "Gimme Shelter" at Elektra Studios in October 1969. The song, which was the opening track off of Let It Bleed but was never released as a single, deals with the Vietnam War and the apocalyptic climate at the end of the 1960s, when images of violence and burning villages dominated the evening news.
