The Doors, In the Window

Joel Brodsky

The Doors took their name from Aldous Huxley's book, The Doors of Perception, which was about the author's experiences when taking mescaline. This in turn played itself out through lead singer Jim Morrison's poetry and the band's visual style.

"The man who comes back through the Door in the Wall will never be quite the same as the man who went out." - Aldous Huxley
