Pink Floyd, Meddle

Storm Thorgerson (1944-2013)

Storm Thorgerson originally proposed a close-up shot of a baboons rear-end for the album cover photograph of 1971s Meddle. Pink Floyd then informed him that they would rather have an ear underwater, which was used as the basis for the final design (with slight color differences on the original U.S. and Canadian issues of the album).
