Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon

Storm Thorgerson (1944-2013)

Pink Floyds landmark 1973 concept album, Dark Side of the Moom, was recorded at Abbey Road Studios with the help of legendary engineer Alan Parsons. The album featured the most advanced studio techniques of the time.

Pithy comments by Storm: The refracting glass prism referred to Floyd light shows - consummate use of light in the concert setting. Its outline is triangular and triangles are symbols of ambition, and are redolent of pyramids, both cosmic and mad in equal measure, all these ideas touching on themes in the lyrics.
