Tom Waits "Small change" Cover
Joel Brodsky
The cover for legendary singer-songwriter, composer, and actor Tom Waits' 1976 album, "Small Change" shows the experimental performer reclining backstage, a cigarette dangling in his mouth, while a nude dancer stares at herself in the mirror.
Joel Brodsky is best known for his infamous photograph of the 1967 “Young Lion” shoot with Jim Morrison that would later grace the cover of the 1985 "Best of The Doors" album release. This photograph of Jim Morrison is probably the most widely used photo of The Doors collection. Other famous photographs by Brodsky include shooting the cover of KISS's self-titled debut LP.
